About Us
Our Mission
Simply put, Advocates for Wildlife is dedicated to protecting and preserving all manner of flora and fauna in Zambia and even beyond. Through collaborative efforts with local communities, governmental bodies, and international partners, we strive to create sustainable solutions that ensure the long-term survival of endangered species and the ecosystems they inhabit.
We are working tirelessly to establish wildlife sanctuaries and protected areas in Zambia, to organize awareness programmes, and to combat illegal poaching. There is so much work to do, but we are committed to the cause.
It doesn’t end there. Sharing the beauty of the stunning landscapes and all it has to offer is just as important, which is why we also specialize in offering tailor-made safari tours that cater to every type of traveler, whether you’re seeking a luxury escape, a family adventure, or an off-the-beaten-path exploration. We’ve got you covered.
Our Philosophy
Our philosophy is centered on sustainability, ethical practices, and a deep respect for nature and all it represents and offers. We’ve isolated key principles that make up our philosophy:
-
Preservation of biodiversity: Our primary focus is protecting and conserving wildlife habitats and ecosystems to ensure the survival of all species
-
Community engagement: It’s important to involve ordinary citizens in these conservation efforts through continuous education
-
Research and monitoring: Evidence-based conservation strategies are valuable, and can only be organized after scientific research has been done to gather data on wildlife populations, habitat health, and human-wildlife interactions
-
Ethical tourism and conduct: We promote travel practices that are respectful of local wildlife and communities and encourage environmentally respectful behaviour
-
Advocacy: We advocate for policies and regulations that support wildlife conservation and sustainable tourism. Every voice matters
Our Story
Close your eyes. Imagine a world without the lush, green landscape of the lower Zambezi. A world without the majestic lions and leopards roaming South Luangwa. A world without the vibrant rainbow of flocking birdlife in the skies above Kasanka National Park.
It would be a dreary, desolate place; a place without colour. A place without life.
The greatest threat to our planet is the belief that someone else will save it. When it comes to safeguarding Zambia’s rich biodiversity, Advocates-for-Wildlife is the ground-breaking initiative committed to safeguarding the rich biodiversity of Zambia and beyond. As an eco-tourism company, we aren’t just passionate about bringing the breath-taking beauty and thrilling adventure of African safaris to you. Our global conservation efforts – from preserving endangered species and habitats, to working tirelessly to raise global awareness about the state of our earth – are just as important.
With our headquarters in the UK and a dedicated team of expert guides and wildlife enthusiasts on the ground in Zambia, we believe that we are in a strong position to make a positive impact.
